Montevideo's old-town streets and Rambla set the pace for a six-day journey east through Punta del Este, La Paloma and Punta del Diablo. The coast shifts from city waterfronts to lighthouse-town and fishing-village walks, ending at Santa Teresa's fort and park when open. Arrange road transport with a driver separately; wildlife boats, surf lessons, horse rides and events remain optional.
