Odycairn plans trips. It does not sell them, operate them, or guarantee them. Read the part about verifying things before you travel — it is the one that matters.

What the service is

Odycairn generates day-by-day travel itineraries from a curated catalogue of real places. Planning is free. We add no markup and take no payment from you.

What we promise, and what we do not

We promise that every stop in a plan is a real place drawn from a named source, and that each day has been checked against transit times, listed opening hours and the month's daylight. That is a genuine engineering claim and we stand behind it.

We do not promise that the information is current. Opening hours change, roads close, businesses shut, ferries get cancelled and weather does what it likes. Our data is refreshed periodically, not continuously.

Always verify opening hours, road conditions, ferry timetables and entry requirements directly with the operator or authority before you rely on them. A plan from us is a well-researched starting point, not a booking confirmation and not a guarantee.

Bookings are between you and the operator

When you follow a link to book accommodation, a tour or a vehicle, that contract is between you and that provider. We are not a travel agent, we are not a tour operator, and we are not a party to your booking. Cancellations, refunds, complaints and liability for the service you booked are theirs to handle.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Commission never influences which places a plan recommends — those are computed from your preferences and cannot be bought. Full detail on the affiliate disclosure page.

Acceptable use

Use the planner for planning trips. Do not scrape it, resell its output as your own product, or drive automated traffic at it. We apply rate limits and may block traffic that ignores them.

Content and attribution

Place listings derive from Wikivoyage under CC BY-SA 4.0 and are used for facts only; the descriptions in a plan are ours. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under open licences and are credited on the photo credits page. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. Climate figures are NASA POWER; live forecasts are MET Norway under CC BY 4.0. Those upstream licences continue to apply to that material — a plan we generate for you is yours to use, share and print for your own travel.

This is beta software. It may be unavailable, and features may change or be withdrawn. We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when they last changed.
