From Nara's temple streets, drive into cedar-covered Kōyasan, follow the Kii Peninsula through Tanabe and Shingū, and end at Nachi's public viewpoints. Five days leave room for these places; Kumano Kodo walks and temple stays can be arranged separately where current access allows.
