Cross the Seto Inland Sea by rail, passenger ferry and bicycle: Okayama's castle garden, Kurashiki's white-walled canal quarter, Naoshima's art and architecture, and Onomichi's hillside temples lead into the 70 km Shimanami Kaido across six islands to Imabari. The final stage is a full, weather-dependent cycling day.
