Travel east from Jakarta to Yogyakarta's royal courts, Prambanan and Borobudur, then continue through Malang to Bromo's caldera and Ijen's crater rim. After Bromo, spend a night back in Malang before the train to Ketapang and ferry to Gilimanuk. Arrange train seats, local transfers, volcano excursions with drivers and entry tickets separately; park conditions determine access, and sunrise or blue fire is never guaranteed.
