Start on Rue Rixens beside the cathedral parvis. Follow the upper-village streets and Côte du Carboue footpaths to the lower Roman interpretation area, then return. Allow about 75 minutes for the walk, cathedral exteriors and Roman views from public paths. Expect slopes, uneven surfaces and shared streets without continuous pavements. Cathedral choir, treasury, cloister, gardens, museum interiors and fenced archaeological areas are separate.

Saint-Lizier: Bishops’ Palace and museum
Allow about 90 minutes for the Bishops’ Palace, departmental museum and Notre-Dame-de-la-Sède during the published opening windows. The site is currently inaccessible to visitors with motor disabilities. The lower-town Saint-Lizier Cathedral and cloister, pharmacy and other village visits are separate.

Foix medieval public walk
Walk the medieval streets from Rue du Rocher, including the public surroundings of Saint-Volusien and Place Pyrène, then return. Allow about 45 minutes for the complete public walk and its short public-street return. The castle and Ariège museum are a separate full visit of about four hours. Cobbles, slopes and steps may be difficult for visitors with reduced mobility.

Pau château park and Sentiers du Roy
Walk from Place Royale along the Boulevard des Pyrénées to the château gardens and park, then return by the Sentiers du Roy and the Palmeraie path. Allow about 75 minutes of walking, with extra time for stops. The route has stairs and slopes; château interiors are a separate guided visit. Mountain views depend on visibility.
