Rio's historic streets and mountain-and-bay scenery lead to Angra, then across the water to Vila do Abraão on Ilha Grande. Return to the mainland before continuing to Paraty's protected centre and waterfront. This eight-day journey needs road transfers with a driver and separately confirmed passenger boats in both directions; remote beaches, long island hikes and water excursions remain optional.
