Ferry and rainforest-road access can change quickly after heavy rain or landslip. Swimming is used only where current authorities and signs allow it; cassowaries and other wildlife are never guaranteed.

The Great Barrier Reef is offshore and is not a road stop. Any reef day requires a suitable permitted operator, inventory, weather, marine conditions and the traveller’s ability and equipment; no reef access or sighting is guaranteed.
