- The standard driving loop is supported from June only after you confirm that Yellowstone and Grand Teton roads, trailheads and planned facilities are open. Snow, construction and wildlife closures can still change access.
- The strongest month-level driving window. Wildfire, smoke, early snow, road works and wildlife management can still close roads or sites, so check both parks before departure and daily.
- This self-drive loop is not generated from October through May. Most Yellowstone roads close to ordinary cars in winter, and May and October road access varies by exact date and weather; those trips need a dated, freshly checked product.
