Cross Switzerland by scheduled rail from Zurich to car-free Zermatt. The Luzern–Interlaken Express follows lakes and the Brünig Pass, the GoldenPass Express crosses the Bernese Oberland to Montreux, and mountain railways reach the Jungfraujoch and Gornergrat when the booked service and weather allow. Chapel Bridge and Chillon give the journey a strong city-and-castle spine between the alpine days.
