The land here is still getting away from the sea, rising eight millimetres a year since the ice left, fastest on Earth. The result: red granite domes over blue water, a suspension bridge to rival the Golden Gate, and Slåttdalsskrevan's freak rock corridor. Ulvön island adds the world's most notorious fermented herring; smelling it is optional.
