Follow Sri Lanka's east coast from Trincomalee's heritage and Nilaveli's shore through Batticaloa's lagoon-side streets to Arugam Bay. Six days leave time for each town, with a licensed driver arranged separately. Island trips, whale watching, water sports, lagoon boats and safaris are optional outings; check shore access and conditions, and expect no guaranteed wildlife sighting.
