Trace Extremadura's history from Mérida's Roman remains to the medieval streets of Cáceres and Trujillo, then finish among Monfragüe's river cliffs and woodland. The four-day drive gives each city time on foot and uses open, signed park viewpoints. Monument interiors, longer trails and guided wildlife trips are choices to add separately.
