💡 Good to know for this plan
- A six-day May–October licensed-road journey with two acclimatisation days in Arequipa, a bounded Chivay and public canyon-viewpoint visit, and a confirmed high-road finish in Puno. Condors, hikes and lake boats are never included promises.
- Light days: day 2, day 4, day 5 have one stop and time left over. Local tours and day trips are the way to fill them — each day links to what is bookable in its own town.

- Keep two Arequipa days before the high passes and planned for altitude.
The corridor rises from Arequipa across a roughly 4,800-metre pass and ends above 3,800 metres in Puno. Keep the recovery day, hydrate, avoid strenuous canyon activity and seek medical advice for individual risk.

Confirm Arequipa–Chivay, the public left-bank canyon road and the Chivay–Puno transfer immediately before each stage. Do not substitute remote unpaved branches or travel after a closure.
