In Norway's fjord country, ferries slide beneath cliffs a kilometre high and waterfalls drop straight into the sea. Mountain roads hairpin down to fruit farms and wooden stave churches, and in early summer the snowmelt puts every waterfall at full volume. Geiranger, Flåm and art-nouveau Ålesund are the headline acts.
