Drive from Bergen through Voss and Flåm, continue north with the same car through the Sognefjord road-and-ferry network to Stryn, cross Geirangerfjord from Hellesylt with the car aboard, then take the Eidsdal–Linge ferry to art-nouveau Ålesund. Fjord crossings, waterfalls and roadside viewpoints are the highlights; the passenger-only Bergen–Flåm express boat cannot carry your car and is not part of this road trip.
