The wine Louis XIV called the king of wines, at its source: Tokaj's cellars fur with black mould that makes the gold inside possible. On the way, Eger, where 2,000 Hungarians held off an Ottoman army, an event every schoolchild can narrate, pours Bull's Blood beneath its castle, and thermal baths steam at every stop.
