From Batumi’s Black Sea coast, six days lead through Zugdidi to the tower villages of Mestia and Ushguli, with time in each destination. Book licensed transport separately, including an experienced driver and a suitable high-clearance 4×4 for Mestia–Ushguli. Check each mountain-road section; this route does not use the Lentekhi through-road. Shkhara, glacier outings, horse riding and exposed treks remain optional activities to arrange separately.
