Walk half-timbered streets, harbour fronts, Omaha Beach, Mont Saint-Michel's village and Saint-Malo's ramparts. The journey focuses on outdoor heritage; museum and abbey interiors and guided excursions are optional.

Walk from Rouen Cathedral’s exterior past the Gros-Horloge to Place du Vieux-Marché, along the old town’s half-timbered streets. Indoor visits, events and guided tours are not included.
Use outer visitor parking for a bounded public circuit around Honfleur’s Old Harbour, Sainte-Catherine setting, old town and public gardens. Museums, Naturospace, boats, the upper hill, events and guided visits remain separate.

Use lawful town parking for Bayeux’s marked public old-town, cathedral-exterior and Aure-bank circuit. The Bayeux Tapestry museum is closed until the end of 2027; museum and cathedral interiors, cemeteries, events and guided visits remain separate.

D-Day Coast public Omaha-beach-and-memorial circuit
Use public road and beach parking for a bounded, respectful Omaha Beach and public memorial circuit. Do not use the closed cemetery-to-beach path. The American cemetery, museums, outer beaches, guided battlefield tours and ceremonies require separate current access checks.

Mont Saint-Michel public village-and-causeway circuit
Use the official visitor parking and free shuttle or public causeway walk for a bounded village, rampart-setting and causeway circuit. Abbey admission and any bay crossing are separate; never enter the bay without a certified guide and a live tide check.

Saint-Malo public ramparts-and-Intra-Muros circuit
Use signed or park-and-ride parking for a bounded public circuit over Saint-Malo’s accessible ramparts and through Intra-Muros. Tidal islands, fort and museum interiors, the aquarium, boats, events and guided visits remain separate.

Use lawful town parking for Dinan’s marked public old-town, rampart and Jerzual setting circuit. Castle and museum interiors, steep port extensions, festivals, rail attractions and guided visits remain separate.
Longer daylight suits all seven public circuits. Expect heavy demand and parking pressure; around 6 June, check commemorative traffic restrictions and site access before travel.
