Colombia's strangest double bill: the Tatacoa: a cactus-filled badlands maze of red and grey under some of the country's darkest skies; then up the Magdalena's gorge to San Agustín, where an unknown civilisation left five hundred monumental stone figures guarding mesa-top tombs. Jaguar-fanged gods, coffee fincas and horse treks between statues.
