Drive north from Salta into the Quebrada de Humahuaca, using Purmamarca and Tilcara as real overnight bases. The route gives Seven Colours and Los Colorados time of their own, keeps Pucará on a day it is open, and treats Humahuaca as a return excursion before the road back to Salta. Cafayate, Hornocal and Tren a las Nubes remain separate journeys or bookings.
